New Media and Public Relations (P.R.)-
Public Relations refers to the management of communication
or the exchange of information between an individual or an organization and the
public. The opportunities provided by new media have led to an immense
development in the world of Public relations (P.R.)
New media has made it very easy and convenient for an
organization to communicate with its potential buyers. The organization can
today communicate with its potential customer directly without any kind of
noise in between. The uninterrupted communication and interactivity between
organizations and its customers has led to customers having greater trust in
the organization. Today because of new media customers can give their feedback

share first hand information about their lives with their fans which prevent
unwanted rumors and confusion. Celebrities today are more aware of the wonders
of new media and utilize it in a smart and meaningful way to interact with
their fans and promote their movies as well. Social media sites and
applications like facebook, twitter, instagram has allowed the celebrities,
authors, singers to share any aspect of their life which they wish to share
with their fans in a direct way.
Public relations( P.R.) has become a very important field in
today’s world. Today’s world believes in
communication and interaction and new media exactly helps in doing that. In today’s
times trailers of films are released online, films are reviewed online, books
are reviewed online, food critics give their feedback online, and all this
communication helps the customers to decide whose service they want to take and
at the same time give the organizations an opportunity to better themselves
through customer feedback.
